This is a reminder that I have an annouced #PhDposition working on #bumblebee #genomics 🐝🧬 at Centre for Palaeogenetics and Stockholm University Deadline: 15th February Apply here -> su.se/english/about-…
🚨 #PhDposition on #arcticfoxes 🐺🏔️🧬 Based at Swedish Arctic Fox project & Department of Zoology, the PhD student will look into dispersal patterns, gene flow and connectivity within Scandinavia. Lots of fieldwork in the Swedish mountains! Come join us! su.se/english/about-… RT!
I’m looking for candidate interested in applying for competitive 2-year postdoc from Swedish funder to work in my lab. Topic can be aspects of floral evolution, pollination (incl. buzz pollination), biomechanics, etc. Email me if interested. Post based Uppsala University in Sweden.

Excited to share this preprint about a new #extreme and marginal #coral environment in the southern Caribbean! Amazing work by Master students Chiara de Jong, iris van os and Guadalupe Sepulveda - especially given that all fieldwork was done during 2020!! tinyurl.com/4yxbktzn
Day 6: Priscila Araújo & Guadalupe Sepulveda in the INSECT Lab SU work on examining how temperature affects bumblebee vision, flight, and pollination! To get these cool results they have to get bumblebees to fly in a flight chamber under simulated heatwaves!

Congratulations to Zahra for successfully defending her PhD thesis titled "The sensory morphology of insect pollinators"!!! Amazing discussions with Karin Nordström, Therese Löfroth, Stephen Montgomery, and Erik Öckinger. Thanks!
Our former postdoc, Dr. Maxence Gérard, is currently doing important work on the new European bee red list 🐝 IUCN Red List Thanks for visiting Max!
Exciting research presented by members of the department yesterday at #NordicOikos2024. Posters by Bella Siemers and Isabelle Resende and talks by Guadalupe Sepulveda and Mats Ittonen!
