In 2021 we carried out #HepC testing events across One Recovery Bucks, led by super Nurse Jade they were highly successful, finding new diagnoses & reengaging people back into care. Izzy The Hepatitis C Trust was fantastic, sharing his own experience to motivate & support people #HepCULater

Today’s memory: Mental Health #HepC case finding project. Clare was amazing using her care, compassion & tenacity to find people who may have been at risk. Clare found 3 people not engaged with any other service. Whilst small numbers we cannot underestimate impact #HepCULater

In June 2020, when world was at a standstill… the Dorset Team were out making most of opportunity’s to offer #HepC testing, reengage people back onto treatment pathways & offer ongoing support to all those housed. We tested over 200 people & started 85 on treatment #HepCULater

Meanwhile in 2020 Bristol were also mobilising the #HepC Team. Super nurse Jess Jess O secured funding to offer testing to people housed across the city. She had materials translated and got to work with Terrence Higgins Trust. Again fantastic numbers started on treatment #HepCULater

Today’s memory is from the NHS Addictions Provider Alliance first conference in Manchester. I had the privilege of presenting on the work of Hep C Hants P2P alongside Stuart The Hepatitis C Trust. It was a great conference which helped set the ideas in motion for what we could achieve! #HepCULater

4/2/20, last conference before pandemic UK Health Security Agency HCV elimination: translating research evidence into practice workshop. It was great to hear about innovative projects, history of the Unlinked Anonymous Survey of People who inject drugs (UAM) and all the data sources #HepCULater

Reflecting back to the start of NHSE’s Needs Assessment project in 2022. Wessex team are nearly ready to conclude the project having retested around 80% of our original cohort. The 20 people we found with #HepC have all now been treated & many more educated #HepCULater

I really enjoy London Joint Working Group LJWG Hep C and SM conferences. Here we are in 2018, discussing innovative opportunities for testing, treatment & obstacles around data sharing. Whilst we have navigated much of the data issues there is still work to do for record accuracy!
