Every life lost to addiction and overdose is a tragedy. On International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those we have lost to the substance use disorder crisis and recommit to expanding access to treatment and recovery services, reducing stigma, and ending this epidemic.

I've spoken with far too many families who have lost loved ones to the opioid epidemic in our state. On International Overdose Awareness Day, I'm remembering those who we have lost and working in Congress to secure the resources communities need to end this crisis.
