Very much looking forward to this, not least because it has a soundtrack by Jim Jupp of Belbury Poly and Ghostbox Records. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…

I *vividly* recall the Sinn Fein ‘voice ban’ as a child. It seemed so deeply - so utterly -surreal even though I had no idea what it was about at the time. This bearded face, and this odd, out of time, disembodied voice. But you still had ‘the words’! I knew it was *mad*.

No actor or singer - apart from Rod Stewart - actually has their own voice to the *ludicrous* degree of Roger Moore. His voice was just sheer Roger Moore.

Apparently only six people at the company know the recipe for Pimms - they are called ‘the Pimms six’ and they are forbidden from flying on the same plane.

So sad to hear that Susanna Forbes has died. Warm and kind, Susanna was always ready to share knowledge with others. A fine writer about beer, cider & perry, she had a passion for the raw ingredients, reflected in her craft cider business Little Pomona Cider. She will be hugely missed

As someone who works in the tech field, if you’re not profoundly disturbed by this pager story, you should be. The implications are massive.

Very grim, but should have been expected by many more since early on in the panic and covid monomania. “UK can expect ‘tsunami of missed cancers’ in wake of pandemic, experts say” theguardian.com/society/2024/s…

A PR has just sent me a German industrial metal album called 'Verboten!' by a band called NACHTMAHR. I mean, that's pretty damn German all round isn't it?

This is a beautiful piece of writing, straight from the heart. It’s hard to put into words what it means to have been a part of something that has meant so much to so many people, so I’ll just say thanks ⁦Peter Mitchell⁩ newsocialist.org.uk/affirmations-i…
