Crosstown competitors, Hays and Lehman JV and Varsity boys and girls soccer teams will be going head to head Friday night. Both Lehman teams will be celebrating Senior Night as well. Girls soccer will be at Hays Highs' Shelton Stadium and boys soccer will be at Lobo Field.

From sage to lime, to shamrock, emerald and all shades in between, Hays CISD on March 25 displayed our green as we together became Hornet Strong. On Monday, our Hays CISD community wore the color green in support of Tom Green Elementary following this past week’s tragic bus crash.

It is with tremendous pride that we announce Hays CISD has been selected by TAEA as a 2024 District of Distinction, an honor bestowed to only the top 5.5% of school districts eligible for the award. Congrats to all of our visual art educators on earning this amazing honor!

Offering young people vital instruction that could one day be used to safe a life was the focus July 16 as Hays CISD’s Student Health Services hosted their second Stop the Bleed event of the summer! Thanks to BudaFireDept, Ascension Seton Hays and all of our volunteers!

Going on this week at Hays High, incoming 7th, 8th and 9th grade Hays CISD students were head over heels with excitement as they participated in the annual Hawk Wrestling Camp!

With the start of summer band just on the horizon, the Lehman Band Color Guard is readying for the new year as they take part in their annual preseason camp!

Also gearing up for the season ahead is the Lehman Dance dance team, who on July 17 were hard at work during their preseason camp on campus!

As the march toward summer rehearsals draws near, Hays Band is readying incoming freshman and new members with the Welcome Back Camp 2024! Great job, Hawk Band!

The iconic thump of a bass drum line echoed all through the Hays High Fine Arts wing July 22 as members of the Hawk battery and front line percussion prepared for summer rehearsals with their annual Summer Camp!

It's the end of an era at Hays CISD as the district on July 22 bid a fond farewell to the annex buildings that were part of the original Central Office facility. Those annex buildings stood for many years and housed numerous departments.

Providing new-to-teaching educators the inspiration and guidance needed to instruct the leaders of tomorrow is the focus of the INSPIRE training at Hays High this week! We're proud to see so many new teachers begin their journey here at Hays CISD!
