It is so fucking dystopian that the answer I keep seeing to "why shouldn't we ban cell phones in schools" is "so kids can text their parents that they love them if there's a school shooter"

My 13-yo is suddenly terrified of school shootings because our 3-yo started pre-K. He said he has a plan to save his brother if a shooter enters the school. I would wish every politician who let school kids die for 30 years burns in hell, but we're in hell, & they're in charge.
