Broke up two weeks ago. Went straight to work on a football trials camp with an amazing company for two weeks. Just got home. Safe to say I am shattered. Time to finally put my feet up until A-Level Results on Thursday!! P.S. thank you Paul Baker - needed that!

It’s worrying the climate of education when 40% of teachers who voted on this poll are more anxious about data pressure than the kids

The system spends all year putting pressure on staff and students to achieve certain grades and then it is the process that fails them. I’m beyond angry.

The most ridiculous part is that the skills taught in these subjects are hugely employable. EBACC is another problem in a hugely flawed and broken system.

This opinion of mine that was questioned has been totally justified AGAIN. This year.

Had many of these this year. Been crying with anger while reviewing papers. System is broken.

When it comes to GCSE and A level English, the assessment system is broken. Unreliable marking, opaque and inconsistently applied mark schemes, shambolic moderation & standardisation procedures, unfair appeals processes. Never mind curriculum revamps. it's time to fix this mess.

As more data comes out about suspension/exclusion today I hope the debates focus on/remember the silent majority, i.e. those kids who have their education disrupted/ruined and there's a focus on teacher wellbeing, where teachers suffer intolerable abuse...

Pedagogy is too complicated these days. Check they remember stuff from the past (retrieval) Teach them something new (instruction) Ask them good questions to check that knowledge (AfL + Ratio) Embed said knowledge with a task of some kind (rehearse)
