Over to Glenesk, Angus today to install 2 weather stations. One at 500m asl, the other in the bottom of the glen. A nice drive over the Cairn o Mount and Fettercairn, 5h round trip on tourist free roads 😀

Another frost last night ij the straths around Carrbridge with Duthil the coldest spot at -2.4c

Down to 0.3c again last night at my frost pocket site along the Duthil Burn near Carrbridge. The stations temperature sensor is correctly screened at 2m above grass. Perhaps similar tonight.

Peak gusts today

Snowing at 1097m in the Cairngorms just now. 4c with sleet lower down.

Stays cold for the next few days with sunny spells and scattered showers, a frost inland on Thursday night. Fine on Friday with lighter winds. Milder over the weekend but windy with rain or showers from the west.

Tentative signals that we may see high pressure build back in next week settling things down.

Frost was widespread UK wide last night, all these observation points fell to 0.0c or below, as far south as south Devon.
