I sometimes dream of life outside these prison walls. Waking up is always disappointing. That's the reality I created, no one else is to blame. But there are many people to blame for the current inhumane treatment perpetuated on the incarcerated. My bad doesn't excuse their bad

I acquired a tomato today. Don't ask me how! I haven't seen one in years at this prison. I don't know whether to eat it like an apple, cut it to use on several meals, or share with a friend. I can't believe this stupid tomato has me in tears of anticipation & anxiety.
