Goodness me. Both main points wrong. Not 2k unless you choose that, & with renewables outstripping gas on low price in many places that seems to be exactly the venue to help meet cost of living challenges. Perhaps we are living in parallel universes? I wonder which one is real?

Hmm maybe Mark Spencer needs to read Guy Shrubsole new book if he keeps repeating that intensively sheep-razed landscapes should be kept as a priority hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2022-1…

👀We’ve had a look at analysis commissioned by the Gov itself and found that scrapping nature-friendly farming payment schemes could increase river pollution by a shocking 20%....

👏Thank you Helena Horton for helping us raise the alarm!

An excellent point this. And of course the concern about climate change shown in the polls show that it is the lobby hacks who are out of touch.

For balance, my friend…The Prime Minister is WRONG not to go to COP. Global warming is the biggest crisis facing our planet and net zero creates many 1000s of jobs which is good for the economy. COP in Glasgow was most successful ever… but don’t expect media to report that

Kate Ferguson Sure. But many will be talking about the economic crisis, which is mainly caused by our dependence on expensive fossil fuels. COP27 is about accelerating the shift away from fossil fuels to clean energy. Join the dots.

- yes, remember the oil and belongs to the nation, so why shouldn't the people get most of the revenue?

Bad look, this. Especially as Alok Sharma was so well received internationally; Graham Stuart is also knowledgable & passionate about energy transition. Energy & climate action are underwriting this economic period - Cabinet benefits from perspectives of these portfolios.

DEFRA admits in cursory statement slipped out this morning that it’s failed to fulfil statutory duty to publish targets. This matters. Yet Govt claims they have capacity to review 570 green laws by end of next year under REUL! Madness ⁦Helena Horton

So Thérèse Coffey defended Rishi Sunak not going to as it's a 'implementation' COP, not target-setting

1 - implementation is the vital issue now
2 - 90+ world leaders are going

Also says decision whether King Charles goes is his to make
