My Mumu is in a tough spot, and I'm doing all I can to help him recover. He is fighting feline infectious peritonitis. Sharing this would be greatly appreciated 🙏 Please help me save my best friend fundraiser: fundtails.com/f/help-mumu-fi…

Real Madrid and Mbappe already 4 points behind Barcelona after being held 1-1 at Las Palmas tonight. Still no La Liga goal for the star signing and fair to say the team is not clicking …. yet.

Fully deserved win for Sunderland at Pompey , who are adjusting to a new level and just have too many players out at the moment. Black Cats look equipped for good season. Well organised and pacy on break. A game of two freak own goals and two scrappy ones.

Liam Dawson hit a century and took 5-52 in 30 excellent overs in Hampshire’s innings win over Lancashire. What does he have to do to get a game for England ? Tremendous cricketer.

Sol Bamba was a very good footballer and an absolute diamond of a man. Sol will never be forgotten for the games he played, the memories he made for so many fans and the uplifting effect he always had on people. Thoughts with Sol’s family and friends. Rest In Peace, Sol.

Rest well brother.., This guy was one of, if not, the nicest people not only that I’ve played alongside, but definitely met! His smile was never far away but his energy was infectious! We’re going to miss you big man… Sending prayers and strength to your family 🙏🏽 RIP

Correct decisions at Arsenal would have been : Joao Pedro - yellow for kicking ball away Rice - 2nd yellow kicking ball away Veltman - red for violent conduct ( kicking an opponent as no way it was an accident )

A wise old observer of the Championship told me that for newly-promoted clubs , good defence was the main priority. Think you have to add that a good midfield shield in front of that defence is important. Not sure Pompey are ticking those boxes , albeit with a makeshift team

Spurs looking soft-centred again. Seemed likely winners at 1-1 , but undone by one very good Newcastle counter. Talented but a little spineless. Great win for the Toon.

Nothing more damaging for any Man Utd manager than to be played off the park against Liverpool at Old Trafford. Ten Hag credit at bank running very low.

Where do you start with this Man Utd display ? Liverpool sharp and clinical and - currently - in another universe to their big rivals.

Sheffler turning Tour Championship into a procession -but ( not his fault ) draining all the drama from the event. Can imagine TV producers cursing his every birdie.

As I was so often reminded in Germany at Euro 2024 : “Die eule ist klug”. Just our little silly joke to keep us amused on the autobahns.

The clip of Danny Welbeck urging the ref to give Rice a second yellow card is - I am afraid -just an example of a sickness in the game seen every week. Love to see Euro-style ‘captains only ‘ allowed to approach ref in England. Anyone else booked.

Read a lot about players blaming managers for not explaining why they were dropped. But - 9 times out of 10 - does it need an explanation ? Good pros can probably see why and buckle down to get another chance. The manager is not an Agony Aunt.

Sri Lanka bowling attack looking really toothless despite very helpful bowling conditions at The Oval. Too easy for England and hard to read much into the form.
