Yesterday, Regina successfully defended her PhD thesis🥳 Congrats! Thanks to Stijn De Baerdemacker and Nanna H. List for evaluating the thesis and coming to Trondheim for the defense🤩

We have been lucky to have Stijn De Baerdemacker at NTNU all week! In addition to lots of good discussions, he was kind enough to give us some lectures on spin-symmetry breaking and the generator coordinate method🌟 Great fun, in other words🥳 #compchem

After a lot of theoretical chemistry at ESCMQC this week, it was time to do some experimental chemistry🌟 However, the lab technicians went a bit wild, so we’re out of acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydrogencarbonate and patience💁🏼‍♀️ #chemistry

I love it!😍 it’s a perfect lesson in «the more you learn, the less you know» for students. Also, it’s great for showing chemistry students why they need to learn the basic principles of quantum mechanics🌟 (if the absolute awesomeness of QM is not enough…)
