Protest outside Columbia University is downright calm. Saw a dad bouncing his baby across the street from the 'Free Palestine' drummer. Jewish kids in yarmulkes hanging with friends around campus. Bad actors absolutely exist, but politicians are clearly trying to escalate.

In November, “I ❤️ Hamas” stickers appeared on posters advertising a student walkout for Palestine at University of British Columbia, implicating UBC Social Justice Centre. The story went viral after it was spread by pro-Israel advocates. Turns out the stickers were made by a pro-Israel contractor working for Hillel BC.

I’m skeptical of people who hang on every inflammatory word of 19-year-old college students but are indifferent to members of Congress calling on people to run over protestors with cars or use nuclear weapons on civilians. There is a revealing inconsistency and imbalance here.
