History Inshorts An initiative to present our history in short videos. Vedas, fountainhead of our spiritual and civilizational journey. We recite the Gayatri. Vedic yagyas remain part of our rituals. In the first video I present some other incredible facets of our journey.

I am reposting the first video of History Inshorts. I am so preoccupied with research work and continous pressure to meet deadlines That am unable to find time to hone my skills in preparing these such videos. I Feel it is important to share some of my work with you. Apologies

Waqf is so much in the news these days. Entire villages and even temple sites are claimed as Waqf! A recorded case of Gyanvapi temple being claimed as Waqf in 1936!! IMG_1237

Rudra is a Vedic deity. Some historians reluctant to identify him with Shiva, or Admit antiquity of Shiva worship. Want to fracture Hindu civilizational memory which remembers a continuity. Fascinating evidence from Indus-Saraswati civilization in this regard. IMG_1307

I am reposting the earlier talk on Shiva. Some of you had rightly pointed out that for a talk to be effective, it must be accompanied by images. I have a lot to learn. Apologies and the talk with images. IMG_1352

One inexplicable fact about Mathura is how a government in independent India handed over 3 acres of the 13.37 acres of Katra Keshavdeva to Idgah party. Idgah party could not produce any evidence for its claim to that site in British courts. Surely this needs to be unraveled.

We must stop accepting FALSIFICATION of our history. We can no longer accept victims being presented as perpetrators of crimes. We have suffered enough. Time to say NO x.com/TrueIndology/s…

Reminiscense of first visit to Mathura long years ago. Anticipation of seeing the sacred birthplace almost overwhelmed, till a local totally shocked me👇 For a thousand years we tried to safeguard our sacred spaces. What changed after independence? youtube.com/shorts/YQ9rkj1…

From 1861, Alexander Cunningham DG of Archaeological Survey visited Mathura several times. His last report of 1871, '... the Masjid has long been disused owing to many dangerous cracks in roof and walls '. Is he describing present structure?

A section of historians has always stressed the great divides in Indian history eg Indus/Saraswati civilization and Aryans. Fire altars at Indus sites demolish the theory. BB Lal, SR Rao link them with rituals and Vedic rites

Archaeological Survey of India submitted to Joint Parliamentary Committee on draft Waqf Bill status of over 130 historical monuments in its jurisdiction. They were accused of misleading panel! Recall in 1936 Gyanvapi was claimed waqf! Do we face another long road ahead?

Interesting times! Network of Sikh Organizations writes to UK Deputy PM of serious concerns over definition of 'Islamophobia,' which bans saying 'Muslims spread Islam by sword. ' Our Gurus were martyred by Mughals for refusing to convert, or died fighting them, they said.
