Dublin in 1984. The city centre had depopulated, containerisation had hollowed out the industrial core and much of the retail and industrial buildings had been simply demolished. Many smaller North American cities still look like this.

Thats great but where's the alternative? The reason why it works in other countries, they have a large network of public transport, Dublin in comparison has nothing close to that. If only there was a solution to that... #MetroForDublin

It would be fantastic to see this happen, it's important to connect all of the commuter towns in Cork City. Iarnród Éireann #cork #midleton #youghal irishexaminer.com/news/munster/a…

All of these cities across the island are having their main stations extensively redeveloped. Has the roof in Connolly ever been cleaned?? By the looks of things, not for a long time... When will Dublin get the same love that the rest of Ireland has?? #Dublin #Belfast #Waterford

The Enterprise is planned to run hourly as apart of the €800 million NI Funding Package, much better from its current frequency of almost every two hours. €12.5 million is going towards this. It also covers A5 upgrades and Casement Park redevelopment. #Dublin #Belfast

There are two major things preventing preventing FundTheNINE's 'Goal Network'. 1) Poor political prioritisation of rail-over-road funding. 2) A bureaucratic mess of planning permission which means rail developments take YEARS to get approval. We need modal shift. #FTN

What a lovely proposal. A great step in the right direction if approved. Traveling up to Belfast and seeing the height along their quays, it'd be nice to have Dublin follow in the same manner.
