It’s a small change but disengaging from news everyday has definitely made me happier. Other things too, I’m sure! But wanted to just call out how toxic the news is for me (and so many others)

Why do founders chase after large rounds when the power of lean is clear?

Consider WhatsApp & Instagram: both acquired for billions with teams smaller than your high school class.

Think big, start small, scale fast.

Leaner teams = faster decisions = explosive growth.

If I send you this, it means I don’t have the bandwidth.

Multiple siblings can grow up in the same house, with the same parents, and have completely different childhoods.

Someone told me that I'm not good at 'making space for others to lean in and support me' and I thought that was very interesting feedback.

Made me think. And I want to be better at this. I think a byproduct of being an entrepreneur is hyper-independence. But we all need help.

Stop apologizing for who you are becoming.
The world will adjust.

Be weary of those friends who take your most vulnerable and painful moments to use against you when it’s convenient to support a narrative they’ve made up in their head.

It’s always appalling to me when people who are extremely busy humans *choose* to get so irate and irritated by such small, minuscule things.

As my dad always told me, “how you respond is always a choice.”

Remember, startups are marathons disguised as sprints. The urgency of now should not overshadow the vision of tomorrow. Pace yourself, for the journey is long, and true success unfolds over years, not quarters. Savor the process.

There is something very artistic/creative in your typical founder. There is something very much not that in the folks who thrive in corporate america.

You ever just walk around NYC and feel high off the energy of the city? Because same.

I understand why folks think it's important to know what's going on in the macro startup market, but it's mostly a distraction.

None of it helps me execute.

I do my best when I'm relentlessly focused on my own execution, and the things I can control.

Through a backchannel, I heard someone referred to me as “a bundle of joy that makes them smile every time they see me.”

And that is probably one of the *best* compliments I have ever received…
