To close the EU-Japan R2R study visits of Japanese prefectures to Europe, the delegation met at the Palau Robert in Catalonia, 🇪🇸.
They had fruitful discussions with the Minister of Empresa & Treball. gencat, Roger Torrent i Ramió 🎗 together with the Consulado General del Japón en Barcelona.

Day 5 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme saw Osaka & Oita visit i2CAT and CIMNE in Catalonia, 🇪🇸.
They learned more about tech transfer & digital policies as well as engineering and applied sciences esp. in relation to hydrology and river dynamics through Flumen .

Day 5 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme saw Aichi, Hiroshima & Kyoto visit Euskadiko Parke Teknologikoa in Bilbao, 🇪🇸.
They learned more about open innovation in the auto sector through AIC ACADEMY and applied research&tech dev't through TECNALIA.

Day 4 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme saw Osaka & Oita visit Catalonia, 🇪🇸.
Welcomed by Catalan Government who spoke about digital policies&industry 4.0 (among others), they then visited the blood and tissue bank as well as Biomedicina BCN, TMB & Vall de l'Hidrogen de Catalunya for discussions.

Day 4 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme saw Aichi, Hiroshima & Kyoto visit San Sebastian, 🇪🇸.
Welcomed by Minister of Education, Jokin Bildarratz and Minister for Economic Dev't, Sustainability and Env't, Arantxa Tapia, they then visited various sites to complement discussions.

Day 3 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme saw Hiroshima and Aichi visit Y-Spot at CEA to explore further opportunities for collaboration in the fields of open innovation and hydrogen with Préfète de région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes et du Rhône in 🇫🇷.
Delegates also met with reps from TENERRDIS and INOCEL.

Day 3 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme saw Kyoto, Oita and Osaka have fruitful meetings w/ the President of the Val d'Oise Council in 🇫🇷.
In the afternoon, Oita and Osaka visited ENERTRAG France, in the field of cleantech, and the International House of Research at CY Cergy Paris Université.

Day 2 of the EU Japan R2R Innovation Cooperation Programme saw the groups of Hiroshima and Aichi visit Lyon, 🇫🇷.

The group learned about the industrial innovation strategy and the hydrogen strategy of the region and visited the HYimpulsion hydrogen refueling station and Symbio.

On Day 2 of the EU-Japan R2R Programme, three Japanese prefectures: Osaka, Kyoto and Oita visited ADP (Aeroport de Paris) in Val d’Oise, 🇫🇷.

They learned their innovation strategies including the air mobility project and the plan to expand the use of hydrogen in CDG airport.

Day 1 of the EU Japan R2R Innovation Cooperation Programme saw the groups of Osaka, Hiroshima and Aiichi visit Bologna, 🇮🇹.

The group learned about Bologna’s innovation ecosystem, energy policies and best practices and visited BI-REX and CINECA.

Day 1 of the EU-Japan R2R Cooperation Programme saw the groups of Kyoto and Oita prefectural governments visit Ljubljana, 🇸🇮.

Among others, the group learned more about Ljubljana's innovation initiatives in mobility, tourism, R&D, open innovation for SMEs, and AI.
