Well done to our NCO team for representing us at the annual @DNWaircadets challenge! The challenge welcomes cadets from across the Wing to compete in several AT activities such as archery, trekking, MTB & first aid. Did you know you can follow many events live @111sqnATC_Live

Well done to Cadet Hardy & Tumilty who recently passed their Weapons Handling Test (WHT) on the L98A2! Joined by our friends from across @DNWaircadets, the weekend involved training and testing at RAF Boulmer. Huge thanks to Sqn Ldr Soulsby & his team for organising!

Owing to an MoD media pause during the pre-election period, we've been more than a little quiet across our various channels... That's not to say that our cadets & staff haven't been super busy enjoying the RAFAC offer and having lots of fun! Stay tuned for #whatwedid

Throughout June and July - we've been regular visitors at Sunderland Climbing Wall! Thanks to our fantastic instructors - there's something for everyone, no matter what previous experience a cadet may have... Climbing is a regular activity on both evenings & weekends.

A highlight of June was getting back to the .22 range! Cadets put their Weapons Handling Test (WHT) on the L144 to work and spent a full day with 607 Squadron ATC on the range. It's fantastic to see .22 shooting back at a local level and we're excited for the future!

A huge and hearty thank you to our cadets for their assistance ad the Sunderland Armed Forces Day celebrations! Alongside 607 and Southmoor Academy CCF - cadets had the opportunity to practise their radio comms & spread the word of the RAFAC on behalf of the entire @DNWaircadets.

During July, Corporal Hall represented the Squadron at the ISCRM - joining the 1338 (Seaham) team. Paving the way for a future Squadron team, Cpl Hall achieved the Gold shot award! Maintaining tradition, he also polished the Helen Border memorial plaque on behalf of the Sqn.

Last weekend, we teamed up with our friends at 1338 (Seaham) and travelled to the wonderful Hamsterley Forest for some nav training! Cadets were able to polish their skills ahead of upcoming Duke of Edinburgh expeditions - all whilst enjoying the scenery and wildlife, well done!
