An SNP Government shouldn’t be in the business of imposing even more austerity on the Scottish people. These cuts will damage growth, further erode public services and make the poor poorer. Not a good advert for Scottish independence.

Disgraceful. Pensioners having to resort to food banks whilst the Labour MPs voting for this are all on over £92,000 a year and in some cases also getting thousands of pounds for paying their own fuel costs while in London. Outrageous.

There’s loads of other ways to handle the situation for example by introducing an emergency land tax on the biggest estates in Scotland and switching the £160 million being spent on cycle lanes to be invested instead in the housing programme.

This is a reduction of £200 million on the previous budget before the cuts made in the last two years or so. Not good news

This wasn’t a’tough’ decision. It was a stupid decision. It was a cruel and ill thought out decision. It was certainly not a socialist decision. Labour hypocrisy at its worst

Denying poor pensioners the winter fuel payments certainly won’t be good for the many poor pensioners living in the islands, which have some of the coldest weather in the U.K.

This is a 25 per cent reduction from the housing budget before the SG started cutting it about two years ago. To have any chance of eliminating child poverty the missing £200 million needs to be urgently reinstated
