What a privilege to have been invited to Winchester Cathedral and carry out a reading in front of 800 people. I was able to meet some fellow NHS workers and was pleased to have been surrounded by such kind people. #Winchester #NHS #solentnhstrust

What a great start to our first skill day. We have welcomed our newly qualified nurse, new nurses and student. We carry out our skill days every Friday and it is ran by our Clinical Practice Educators at St James Hospital. Solent NHS Trust Solent NHS Learning and Development

Another skill day… Full of new nurses, newly qualifies and students. A day full of learning and laughter. Todays game of choice was ‘Drug Rounds’ and as you can see they have all done a reflection what they have learnt from the game. #Nursing #Teaching #Upskilling #Educators

We have been working hard on updating our MH inpatient medication competencies. We have been able to add our EPMA system, update our control drugs section and much more. It is so important to keep up to date with knowledge and skills. #competencies #solentnhstrust #skill

Yesterday our MH inpatient ward had an away day, we covered: • 4 different social styles • LEAPS model • Project Fusion • Educational board games A big thank you to our PICU team for covering the ward for us and to Hollie Tiernan for arranging the day!!!

I have taken it upon myself to introduce a Mental Health Audit within the nursing home I work for. This allows the evidence to #CQC that we are meeting the criteria in ensuring our residents are being protected and cared for in the correct way. #Nursing #MentalHealthMatters
