🪰 Enjoying our first introduction to microgravity physiology countermeasures. This specialty equipment lets astronauts work out in space! 🏋️🚴🏃 Yes, there is a “smart” space bike that varies pedaling power… and I’m already excited about it. 🤔💭

The Flies🪰 are starting our space walk training flow! The first “step” in the process is actually a “reach”— into many pairs of pressurized gloves🧤to find a workable fit. Here, suit engineers & technicians are helping me test glove comfort and dexterity inside a vacuum chamber.

First flight in the T-38! These jets are a critical platform for practicing quick decision making and working as a team in a rapidly changing environment. As the rear cockpit crew member, my job was to handle radios and navigation to help our small crew accomplish its mission.

Training bonus? I can now say I’ve traveled supersonic! (Mach 1.04 might be small potatoes to the experienced pilot, but it was still an interesting milestone.) Personally, I found the few seconds of zero-G flight to be much more exciting!

Nothing in a vacuum happens “in a vacuum”— that is, nothing happens without a team. This even includes donning our spacesuits. Huge thanks to my team at the NBL today, including experienced astro Jessica Meir, for guiding me through my first pressurized suit experience.

We are ready. 🚀 In just five days, the first launch opportunity of the integrated NASA_SLS rocket and Orion Spacecraft spacecraft will take place. The uncrewed #Artemis I mission around the Moon will pave the way for future crewed missions and begin a new chapter of exploration.

Artemis I launch was scrubbed today after an engine bleed issue prevented chilling to the correct temp range. However, it was an honor to support w/NASA Astronauts and thank the people who have devoted many years to building this incredible vehicle. Thank you and Go Artemis!
