1st soybean desiccant app in southern WI. Soybeans are at R6.5 or just starting to have yellow pods. Big thanks to Adam for applying the sodium chlorate. Shawn Conley Science for Success

We expect this application timing to provide a yield loss in our northern climates. If any growers are considering this treatment I would recommend you wait until after R7 starts up here in da north ya hey!

Researchers in Wisconsin have seen increased P levels with tillage and greater carbon mineralization with cover crops. Hear more from Tatiane Severo. Shawn Conley #coolbeans #ScienceforSuccess

Our early soybeans are about ready to roll in preparation for our 2025 soft red winter wheat and cover crop research. I am 100% confident these beans will run somewhere between zero and 120 bushels per acre!

Steve Wilkens Scott Irwin farmdoc daily Last year the word on the street was WI yields was going to be 44 I disagreed. It ran 51. This year they say 53..nope we will be below 50 likely sub 49. I don’t model but I know soybean physiology. We have shallow roots, aborted pods and seeds and will have small seeds. 🤷‍♂️
