🙌 Historic win for nature: EU #NatureRestorationLaw is finally adopted! 💧 The regulation includes an obligation for member states to identify and remove artificial barriers to turn at least 25,000 km of rivers into #freeflowingrivers by 2030! ➡️ ow.ly/t22O50Slz4I

All of us in the WTT family are profoundly saddened at the death of Kris Kent: a stalwart among our volunteers whose contribution to the world of rivers & fish went far beyond his work with WTT. Our thoughts are with his family & his very many friends: wildtrout.org/news/kris-kent…

Absolutely heartbroken by the loss of my friend Kris Kent. Kris was a committed river conservationists, angler, guide and water quality campaigner. He was part of the furniture at The Wild Trout Trust, Orvis Fly Fishing, Fishing Breaks and Angling Trust. A gentle giant and gentleman.

Weir removal and #ChalkStream #RiverRestoration 8 months on. Some very hard graft went into this river’s mid-recovery adjustments. A great Wessex Rivers Trust Habitats Team effort, and an ecosystem now on its way to a thriving future 🌱💧🐟

WTT friends, especially those in the south of England... don't forget that we're recruiting for a new southern Conservation Officer! Can you please help us by spreading this exciting job description around your networks? Thank you! wildtrout.org/news/were-recr…

First day on Woodland Trust🌳 #Snaizeholme giving the beck a dose of habitat rehab The Wild Trout Trust style. These windblown trees will kick the water about and force better connection with the floodplain, helping to #slowtheflow As Mike Blackmore once said 'Go big or go home'

Proud to have played a (tiny) part in the early stage, poking about the soil with David Sear and Tim Sykes. Congrats to the amazing Action for the River Kennet (ARK) and Cain Bio-Engineering for getting it done. From a roadside drain, to the restoration of a lost winterbourne paleo-channel. 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻🌱💧

If it looks like you did it, you did it wrong! I see so many engineered, orderly “leaky dams”, sometimes even built from sawn timber. They are not NFM. This👇🏻 is NFM. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
