If fully adopted, especially at the local government level, the perpetually shrinking political space will significantly improve. This, we will closely monitor its implementation across the State. I am on a run - NSS and CID are searching for me all over the place. They managed to arbitrarily arrest Journalist Aleu Anyieth last night, 9pm. People they suspect to have supported or openly in solidarity with the Protesters are being hunted. Peaceful Protest is not a crime.

I am safe, for now, although NSS is still searching for me. Thank you all for the concern and support 🙏 🙏 it kept me holding my head up and I believe it will keep me hoping for better days, God willing! @SSOX

Aleu Anyieth, will be arraigned in High Court tomorrow morning in Jonglei State, charged with alleged crimes against the State (not clear which one). What he did was to appear in the protest 🪧 as a Civil servant who has not received salaries for over 9 months. #FREEALEU

This case is a manifestation of perpetuity of the toughest times as the Civic space shrinks further Countrywide. Drastic steps must be taken against these developments, including review of the NSS Bill before the President. radiotamazuj.org/en/news/articl…
