Excited to announce that I am starting my laboratory at the University of Virginia Department of Microbiology Immunology and Cancer Biology UVA-MIC alongside Dr. Brady Spencer Brady Spencer ! My lab will study how bacteria defend against phages using nucleotide-gated channels.

It’s happening!! I’ll be giving my defense seminar a week from today! After that, I’ll be joining the Lozupone Lab in the Department of Biomedical Informatics. So excited to start this new chapter here at Anschutz and enter the world of microbiome modeling 😍

I'm happy to announce I will be joining UTK Microbiology as an assistant professor. Our lab will integrate computational and wet-lab approaches to explore relationships between microbial community interactions and ecological outcomes in free-living and host-associated systems.

An Update! 🎉 I am so happy to announce that in May 2025, I will be joining the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology. My lab will study host-pathogen interactions during Klebsiella systemic infection.

So excited to share that I have received an NoA for my K99 at NIAID Funding !! This award will support my continued research into Group B Strep pathogenesis in diabetic wound infection.
