Then add to this the fact that the salmon farming industry produces more waste each year than the entire Scottish population. All the faecal and feed waste from the 200+ sea sites - inhumane floating prisons for a migratory species - just goes straight into the ocean.

I keep thinking about Naomi Klein's book The Shock Doctrine. Particularly the second to last chapter, where she shows how Israeli elites profit off of constant war and insecurity through weapons and surveillance tech that they test on Palestinian and Lebanese people.
