Master the art of acceptance, and act accordingly. Believing that it is what it is doesn't mean you lack the emotion. It means you prioritize your peace over your gut emotional response. You understand that life moves forward regardless, and won't give up your peace to prove it.

When it comes to Jesus, I find many non-believers and skeptics don't fear a lack of completion, but fear the faith it requires to believe He can ultimately make them complete. Many just don't WANT Him to exist, because life does still move on when you do your OWN thing..

..but if the burden of proof rests in answering, "If God exists, why does He allow bad things to happen?", why is so much faith placed on the progression of PEOPLE doing their OWN thing? The question is never why God MADE it happen, but how and when He steps in from his position.

..so, if what we say is true about everything happening for a reason, there's no reason for us to determine the reason ourselves, rather to give control to someone whose thoughts and ways are above ours, with a love that surpasses all understanding..

Terrance Dennis (@coachtdennis) 's Twitter Profile Photo

..so If the only way to understand God is to spend time with Him, by doing neither, we put ourselves (actions, thoughts, etc.) in His place. Sounds foolish, right? Even more than saying He doesn't exist, because lack of proof is the proof everything happens for a reason..

Terrance Dennis (@coachtdennis) 's Twitter Profile Photo

..proof that there's a God who loves you and wants what's best for you is rooted in your boldness to bridge the gap between thought and belief. THAT is faith. That amount of trust doesn't form from the stars aligning perfectly. Just come as you are: imperfect; WHENEVER..

Terrance Dennis (@coachtdennis) 's Twitter Profile Photo

..and the next time you start to think you're unworthy or incapable of understanding that type of love, understand that you are where you are because of what you've done, and you have an open invitation to the One who paid the price you're making yourself and others pay..

..Get out of your own way. Get out of God's way. He doesn't need you to be Him, but you do need him for you to be whole. It'll cost you the control. It'll cost you the routine. It'll cost you the way you handle things and respond to change. But it grants you peace. Just try it.

One thing about me when it comes to those I've committed to loving, is that I'd be honored to go through the trenches with you. You might not like it... But to be that close-knit and help shoulder the yolk, it's nowhere close to a burden.

2 years removed from a coach's worst nightmare. Still in prayer for the Avila Athletics community who are still affected by the events of that night. It was my honor to be your coach. We miss you big Barbee 💪🏿🕊️ #LLJB

Perspective hits differently when you recognize that for the amount of prayers you're anxiously waiting to have answered, you may in fact BE the answer to someone else's in some way.
