Brilliant use of exclamation marks in this poem by Frank O'Hara. And who hasn't had a one-sided conversation with a leaf? According to Tom Clark, it was written in Ann Arbor in September 1950. Later, it became part of Meditations in an Emergency (Grove Press, 1957).
