We're delighted to have worked with Leicester City Council to complete vital repairs to a popular stretch of canal which was damaged in the winter floods. It's a stark reminder of the growing impact of climate change on our historic waterways and the need to #KeepCanalsAlive.

Please bear with us as we deal with a suspected arson attack on one of our boats on the Northampton Arm. The Arm's closed to boats while we investigate & make safe. As a charity this attack is a senseless waste of resources & will impact our ability to carry out important work😡

We've responded to reports of dead and distressed fish in the #Grantham Canal #Nottinghamshire. Sampling has ruled out pollution but dissolved oxygen levels are lower than normal. We'll be re-oxygenating the canal for the next couple of days to help the fish recover. 🐟

Part of my apprehension about travelling on the Tidal Trent is to do with making the turn from the river into the rather narrow lock at West Stockwith. If you follow the lock keepers advice there really isn't anything to worry about, despite how close we got to the lock wall.
