Girls are born perfect, with all their body parts perfect, and nothing needs to be cut. Ifrah Foundation is committed to supporting women and girls by preventing and advocating for the complete abandonment of FGM in Somalia. Thanks to Ministry of Women & HRD Galmudug for reaching this milestone.
In collaboration with AmplifyChange, we facilitated a second gathering of CSOs in Mogadishu to advocate for the FGM bill & develop action plans. The event, attended by government officials, CSOs, and women's groups, aimed to enhance their advocacy and movement-building skills.
Our founder has actively participated in high-level training of youth and religious leaders, advocating for a #FGMZeroTolerance policy. Organized by Y-PEER Somalia &funded by UNFPASomalia aims to address the serious issues that FGM causes for women& girls. #AntiFGMmovement

In collaboration with UNFPA Somalia & with funding from The Gov't of Japan, we conducted a workshop on GBV community mobilization in Dharkenley using 'SASA! Together' awareness phase approach. 57 local GBV activists were equipped with knowledge & skills for GBV prevention & mitigation.
With funding from The Gov't of Japan & UNFPASomalia, we've trained community & religious leaders from #Dharkenley on the SASA! Together awareness phase approach. Engaging these community leaders as change agents to influence their peers will continue to be a key strategy to prevent GBV.
.#Jowhar: In collaboration with UNFPA Somalia & funded by The Gov't of Japan, we conducted a workshop on community mobilization against GBV using the 'SASA! Together' awareness phase approach. 40local GBV activists were equipped with knowledge & skills for preventing & mitigating GBV.

With support from AmplifyChange,we facilitated the engagement of 20 media boot camp graduates with the media in Muqdisho, focusing on best practices for combating FGM & advocating the anti-FGM bill in Som. They recognized their significant potential impact on the anti-FGM movement
