I remember walking through my neighborhood in 2015 and hearing men say they don’t trust a woman to lead the country, even with Hillary’s experience in the White House as First Lady and Secretary of State. I really hope they’ve evolved since then. I really do.

I wish the senseless killing of Black people didn’t go viral. I wish we didn’t consume the suffering of Black people like fiends. I wish I didn’t have to learn new names to mourn. #SayHerName #SonyaMassey

This is a belated post but thank you NYSOSS and Luvelle Brown for inviting me back and welcoming me with open arms and a standing O. To be there with my homies was icing on the cake!

This is sad news. It highlights how easily a person receiving lifesaving care could lose it; healthcare runs on capitalism in the US, not on humanity. I pray that Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield continues to cover care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or they’d be liable for anyone who suffers unnecessarily.

At the very least, companies should be posting preprints of the data they used to get FDA approval for their AI device. How can anyone be expected to know if a device is appropriate without the data?

Clinicians, if you see a patient wearing a mask - just put yours on too. Don’t ask us if that’s what we want. Don’t ask if we are unwell. Don’t make it so obvious that you don’t understand infection control. You work in a hospital. Pretend you get it, and put it on.

School just started, & already there’s been a shooting. Our nation’s leaders must do something. This is the making of a nation of traumatized individuals. I’m thinking of the children in Haiti, Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, etc. too, who live under the umbrella of catastrophe daily.
