Nice to see The Irish Times pick up my The Conversation piece on 150th anniversary of Tyndall's Belfast address: irishtimes.com/science/2024/0… I'm in Leighlinbridge on Monday for more, with thanks to CarlowCountyCouncil and National Heritage Week
What a great evening of creative reflection in Leighlinbridge on John Tyndall's Belfast Address, superbly organised by CarlowCountyCouncil + Carlow Libraries. CarlowLittleTheatre's dramatisation was tremendous and Gráinne Mulvey's Tyndall-inspired compositions were mesmerising.
Sorry not to make it to more of this, but really enjoyed chairing a session yesterday on 'Biographies and geographical thought' with superb presentations by Oliver Dunnett, Antonio Ferraz de Oliveira, Corey Johnson, Michiel van Meeteren and Sofie Bijleveld.
Many thanks to Zishang Yue for a thoughtful and fair review. Much appreciated. Alerting E. V. R. Kojonen Alister McGrath Gijsbert van den Brink
