I never want to disparage trainees or clients who got something out of Copyright Branded Therapies. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: CBT is a great start

While writing them promptly is generally good advice, your notes shouldn’t share anything about the client that isn’t explicitly indicated by law When courts or orgs request therapy notes, it is rarely (if ever) for the benefit of the patient, so content should be blank or vague

Well-trained and healthy therapists love when you tell us you’re upset with us 😂 not only is it a terrific avenue into exploring how you process and express/censor anger, but every once in a while we are the first ones to take accountability instead of punish for it

I love me a good therapist with cultural competence in geek! Those who can fold in comic books, video games, or pop culture for therapeutic application in the real world instead of dismiss client fandoms as unhealthy fantasy

Can therapists be well-trained but unhealthy?

There is no shortage of clinical terms being changed after the general public repurpose them as insults but changing the name of something doesn’t change what it is
