The #AIDS2024 theme is #PutPeopleFirst. We sat down with Rye Manuzon, Executive Director for USAID partner PANTAY #Equality4All, to understand how PANTAY’s HIV work in the Philippines puts people first.

During the lead crisis in Flint, Michigan, 1 in 20 kids had elevated levels of lead in their blood. In low income countries today, that number is closer to 1 in 2 kids. USAID is working with our partners to make a lead-free future a reality for the next generation.

Africa is home to 94% of the world’s malaria cases but only produces a fraction of the supplies needed to test for and treat malaria. To help bring supplies closer to where they're needed most, U.S. President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) is doubling down on their commitment to localization.

During my trip to India, I visited Indore and was blown away by the advances in primary health care. Central to this are community health workers like Rashmi who play a critical role in providing health services to communities in remote or hard-to-reach areas.
