Here are some highlights from session 1 of Nike Girls EYBL Champions League and my schedule for session 2 this weekend in Iowa. @honeybadgers25 Matt Forbes

We Honey Badgers Basketball typically press and play M2M defense the whole game. Today we were down 3 starters and had 5 players total! Rather than feel sorry for ourselves, we played a variety of zone defenses on the fly that we've never even practiced, and pulled out the W! Great job!

Despite missing two Globe/Herald "Dream Teamers", and having 5 players for 1 game and 6 for 4 others, Honey Badgers Basketball grit out 3 wins in IA, while giving 2 of the top EYCL teams all they could handle in the other games until we ran out of gas. Our girls have immeasurable heart!

After an EXTREMELY slow start, Honey Badgers Basketball pull away with a 23 point win to kick off EYCL in Louisville. Next up, the Rising Stars today at 1:00 pm on Court 24.

Despite enduring a seemingly endless string of injuries/illness, forcing us to play 18 of 24 Nike Girls EYBL Champions League games with a max of 6 healthy girls, Honey Badgers Basketball finish our season as the highest ranked Nike 17U girls team in New England!!
