I first met Sarah in 1989. She was the lead in Howard Barker’s Victory & we chatted after. She was smart, intelligent, very funny. I saw her 1st play, Comic Monologue, a year later, a brutally shattering experience. And a few years later I saw Blasted and my theatre life changed.

Current reading. Some very good sections on the beats in scenes in silent comedy. But what play wouldn’t benefit from a little clown dramaturgy ? 🤡
