Day 1 - What a day! #Nangamay

Today in Year 2, we built our schema on wombats to write descriptive, simple sentences. Students used explicit success criteria to construct their texts. #Nangamay

The explicit teaching of sentence structure and subject specific vocabulary. 💪🏼 A couple of Year 2 writing samples. Oral composition prior to writing. Differentiation by task rather than content.

Fantastic to be permanent again at Walters Road PS. Next term, I commence my new role as Teacher of Special/Inclusive Education, in a unit established this year. I feel very privileged to be working alongside great teachers, great leaders and most importantly, great people.
