White boys being from a broken home or bullied is a license to kill ppl that had nothing to do w/ it. But Black girls who kill men who sex trafficked and abused them deserve no empathy but prison time. It’s why folks shed tears for Colt Gray, not sex abuse victim Chrystul Kizer.

I know that mac & cheese endeared Tini to the masses but to me it's the fact that she's always showcasing the women's shelter in Atlanta & forwarding donations to them instead of accepting tips.

If you like cartoons, tell people about it. Often times animation issues are stuck in the same circles & it's hard to break-out of these circles if only the same people are raising alarms. It's important that animation workers and the issues surrounding animation are mainstream

Also this is the most affirming moment of my decade of research on these issues. Please pay attention. It’s coming for you next.

Job creep also comes from the fact that animation, as an artistic industry, is fuelled by the passion and emotional investment workers put into their projects. Corporate power preys on artists and pushes them too far, because artists want the project to be as good as possible.

for those wondering, he’s bringing awareness to and is in solidarity with the missing and murdered indigenous women and girls in north america. devastatingly strong nativehope.org/missing-and-mu…

The youth is tired and they’re wanting to fight. I’m so glad he’s using his fame to always bring awareness to important issues.

This is especially wild when you consider that The George Lopez show, Modern Family, Ugly Betty, Jane The Virgin, and One Day At A Time all had Latinas in a supporting role that absolutely were Emmy worthy. The exclusion is systemic and intentional.

An important and devastating read that resonates with the state of the larger industry. 💔 Keeping this article in mind as the animation guild returns to the negotiating table this week. #StandWithAnimation

Is it petty of me to keep repeating that this beautiful movie by DreamWorks Animation is based on my book? The team of artists + animators + designers did an outstanding job + I want people to know that my book was the inspiration! Is that wrong? This is all new for me! #thewildrobot

Pixar makes a film about mental health.. lays off the people behind it in droves.. deprives them of health care.. doesn’t allow those people to collect their items from the office.. makes BANK off the film.. and withholds bonuses #StandWithAnimation

Hot take — I've worked with 1,000+ freelancers, but I don't care where you've been published. I've had writers with prestigious credentials send me awful copy and ones with no clips send incredible work. Clips are nice, but you never know if a writer just had a GREAT editor.

$1.6 billion, the highest grossing animated film ever. Animation workers saved film/TV during lockdown, saw none of the profits THEY created and this issue isn’t unique, it’s industry-wide. Companies can and MUST provide workers a sustainable living! #StandWithAnimation
