Colonel Smith & Lt. Colonel Lehnherr were in Troop A for our annual troop meeting. The colonels keep the troops informed of the upcoming changes for the agency & the troops get to have an open forum, as well.

This driver chose not to stop for troopers. Shortly after, the vehicle crashed into a tree line off the interstate. The driver was arrested for felony flee & elude. The passenger had 2 felony warrants with full extradition from AZ for kidnapping & criminal threat.

Lt. Kenny Woods participated in the Annual United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Car Show. It was the biggest show they had ever had. Leawood Police and Leawood Fire also made a showing. The “Trooper car and Jr. Trooper badges were a big hit!”

One of my favorite parts of the Kansas State Fair is our annual #trooperonatrain ride. The State Fair Railroad Co allows us to take kiddos on a ride around the grounds to help them not be nervous around officers. What a positive experience for us all! KS Highway Patrol
