People who test positive on a qFIT test as part of bowel cancer screening are referred for a colonoscopy. The BSG2020 guidelines are used to assess their risk of developing future polyps or cancer #bowelcancer #screening (2/4)

The risk of future polyps or bowel cancer for patients with polyps detected during screening colonoscopy is assessed by considering the number, size, and microscopic appearance of the polyps (3/4)
