This is unacceptable. Equality deserves its own Commissioner, not just a footnote in an overloaded portfolio. The EU must prioritise gender parity & equality, not sideline them. We count on the European Parliament to step up and speak out for women's rights & equality.

This includes the European Pillar of Social Rights.

Sure way to show how close to people you are, how much you care about their daily lives, and that you don't hold yourself above them at all is, of course, excessive use of the term "on the ground". 🫶

100+ million people with disabilities in the EU. 1 mention in the new EC mission letters. In further sign how seriously the Commission takes these citizens, the letters themselves are published in a format that is not searchable text - and cannot be read by screenreader.
