Progress isn’t always about getting better. Sometimes it’s about bouncing back. Success is not only the peaks you reach—it’s the valleys you conquer. Every experience of enduring adversity and overcoming obstacles is a meaningful accomplishment.   Resilience is a form of growth.

Focusing in on Q1 and the importance and clarity of a guaranteed and viable curriculum. Exciting two days of work establishing a strong vertical articulation of unpacked essential standards across our district. These Noblesville Schools teams brought thoughtful and valuable perspectives.

Yep, I’ve got one of these “info-kids” Bedtime stories were dinosaurs and machines. It’s his first library stop every time. “Reluctant reader” is hard to carry when you just want to read the facts and fuel your curiosity!

I spent sometime this week in Gina Mertens class exploring texts through shared reading and learning experiences. Nothing beats watching kids employ reading skills through collaboration and authentic texts. Noble Crossing ❤️

Revisiting a😍study: ". . . at-risk children . . . can achieve gains in comprehension, including the ability to transfer what they have learned to novel texts, when they are given highly structured & explicit instruction that focuses on text structure." journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…

This is so cool! And the tie in to nonfiction is *chef’s kiss! I can’t wait to see our curious learners explore and wonder in the museum. Well done Taryn Hassler 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The 4th Graders kept saying their mint plants had grown several inches, but I just thought they were overestimating! Got a pic this morning.😳 They started out less than 3 inches tall! Thanks Anne Fillmann for the photo.
