In every community there are varying shades of political opinion. One of the shadiest of these is the liberals. alt: @truech0d

All the parties that have been running things whip and everything is very shit, so maybe, it’s not some vital component?

I love how everyone gets to see the 2015 internet now. It would be nice if people realise those talking about this a decade ago weren’t over reacting. They just saw this stuff.

I like telling people that the Liz Truss mini budget simply ADDED to the horrendous state of the country financially and actually house prices have fully recovered now but wages haven't gone up sufficiently. Truss was a disaster but she's also a scapegoat for both main parties.

Another defining feature of out times, is the indisputable bastard scapegoat. It’s an obnoxious phenomenon because of people’s inclination to assume you’re defending someone by saying they aren’t wholly responsible.

In 2017 Labour estimated this change would kill 4000 people. Seems reasonable, possibly conservative. Probably won’t be Dr Lilly’s nan. Or Starmers, not Reeves, no one Anna Soubry knows. But they’ll be people none the less. Who deserved better than this cheap rhetoric.

Watching Paralympic closing coverage last night and was honestly moved to tears when as part of the GB summary the (disabled) presenter explained how important it is not to use the positivity to ignore the fact that life is still generally basically shit here for disabled people.

I’m sorry but you have to have some kind of meaningful and server detachment from reality if you expecting labour to be markedly different from the Tory’s on public spending. I’m left wondering how so many very clever people, sensible grown ups, thought they could do both.

A lot of people in this country know people who died because of austerity. Because the books got balanced. I find the tone people still take when discussing this to be incredibly insulting to them. It’s so detached.
