I’m a huge supporter of strong preservation for the rural coast (one Sea Ranch is more than enough), but it’s high time we treat the urban coast as…urban. It’s appalling that the CA coastal commission & “environmentalists” stand with suburban NIMBYs again this.

Santa Cruz has really jaded me to the selfishness of these rich coastal communities. They're all white towns full of retirees with a hidden underclass of Latino workers holding up every sector of their economy. Yet their NIMBY housing policies keeps them segregated far away.
