We had the opportunity to visit Stone Barns Center to check out their ag research & farm-to-table operation. So cool, highly recommend! A lot of innovative things going on there including diploid true-seed potatoes. Fun field trip w Isako Di Tomassi & Renee Smith Cornell CALS Agricultural Research Service

The invasive spotted lanternfly can cause real damage to New York’s native plants, negatively affecting our agriculture industry and forests. This summer and fall, do your part and stomp them out!

Late blight is spreading in the northeastern US. Commercial growers should protect crops now or terminate mature potato vines. Gardeners who suspect late blight on potato or tomato should get disease confirmed & destroy infected plants. Occurrence map @ USAblight.org.

Cool to hear updates from Cornell CALS faculty Christine Smart, Greg Vogel, Walter De Jong, & Michael Mazourek at today’s Cornell Cooperative Extension Vegetable Showcase. And Greg provided the opportunity to try 30 different tomato varieties. Did not make it through all 30, it’s a lot.
