Happy Labour Day to our CBMS Canada 🇨🇦 supporters! On this day we are reminded that 1 in 3 worked will sign an NDA at some point during their careers. In Canada, the NS Federation of Labour voted unanimously on resolutions to stop using NDAs, we hope to see more unions follow

With all due deference, this is an absurd statistic. The question is not how many times you are cited but whether you are doing something with your writing that helps make the world a better place?

Homeless New Yorker Carl Elliott As I discuss in my book, this Acadia situation & countless other cases like it go back decades--these places are almost never closed, virtually no one gets jailed or even loses their license. Occasionally, one closes and soon re-opens with a new name/company doing the same thing.

I do not necessarily agree with Liz Cheney on how we solve the nation’s problems but she is a profile in courage, a person of integrity, and a genuine intellect.

I never thought I’d say this so many times about an American president, but Donald Trump is a liar. He calls our country a failing nation. Just look at the facts. He’s dead wrong.

No; the Judge is brilliant. Any sentence prior to the election will appear as if it were designed to interfere with the electoral outcome or was tempered so not to do so. Trump now has a real threat of prison. The Judge can sentence without worry.

Biden: I wonder whether Trump has any notion of what a hard days work is. All he did was lose his father's money. And then get in trouble and have to owe a lot of other people money. And then borrow a lot of money and give tax cuts to the super wealthy

Yes that is the real question. Would #Trump have any oxygen in the era of Walter Cronkite; before everyone was their own reporter and before fair balance meant having two people from opposite sides spin yarns.

TIME’S UP Law360 and LexisNexis Legal & Professional: We’ve offered you plenty of opportunities to reach a fair contract and remedy your unlawful practices at the table but tonight, just after midnight, we will walk off the job on an open-ended ULP strike.

That seems logical to me. It also seems intuitive that lawyers do research and writing not just to convince a judge but to learn the material for the argument or future use.

What a plum for all of Emory University Emory Law will have to work to keep him from going to a a T14. For now, Alumni and students should be thrilled that he is at Emory and hopefully Emory will do what it can to keep him there. Emory University Greg Fenves Bloomberg Law

Can someone check; is it possible that the chair of the appointments committee at a law school never went to law school? Is that possible? Martha LA Fineman

My friend Will Bunch is right: There needs to be a motion to Censure JD Vance on the senate floor TOMORROW Like Trump, Vance is a political terrorist

When it comes to law, and fact patterns, nothing is obvious or to be assumed. We also use to have doctors - indeed surgeons - who probably didn’t wash their hands before getting down to business:)
