Latest data show rates of neonatal mortality increased in 2022. Again, emphasising the need for transformative change to save more babies' lives. With a review of NHS performance being announced, and a new 10-year strategy, maternity and neonatal care must not be forgotten.

New data from @MBRRACE, looking at 2022 baby loss rates, has shown while stillbirth rates decreased across the UK, the number of neonatal deaths had increased. 3/4 of neonatal deaths were also among premature babies. Read more: bit.ly/3LkbWd1

Baby loss is a taboo subject, but we should be able to talk about it.

1 in 2 adults are affected by baby loss. It's encouraging to hear a debate on #BabyLoss gain cross-party support and hear Olivia Blake MP speak about our work to date. We look forward to working with all MPs to keep this issue on the agenda and to improve maternity outcomes.
