Congratulations to Luke Akehurst, but just a bit of reality. Out of 73,243 eligible voters, only 16,562 voted for #ParachuteLuke. By our reckoning, that’s 22.6% of North Durham - not exactly a ringing endorsement. We’ll continue to hold him to account, don’t worry about that.

Basically, what we advocate is a BDS campaign (Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions) against Luke Akehurst in North Durham. What he wants is to normalise his presence. We don’t recognise him as a legitimate representative of the community & we’d ask others to take that stand too ✊+🙏

Feel absolutely disgusted that our MP Luke Akehurst made his maiden speech about N.Durham needing help and actually visited a school, seeing how it was. Then voted AGAINST scrapping the 2 child benefit cap. Party comes first before us. Expected this and am still disappointed.
