Wow! So many responses, thank you everyone for your input! DCIS mimicking UDH. Although the cells appear to be heterogenous at low power, the nuclear features at HP show they are hyperchromatic with irregular contours. Other areas had necrosis and ER was strongly positive

🌳 A decision tree developed to distinguish between primary lung adenocarcinomas w/mucinous features and metastatic colorectal carcinoma was validated on a cohort of #FNA specimens—and performed with an accuracy of 95%. acsjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cn… #CytoPath CC: Sinchita Roy MD PhD

AMAZING aspiration done by our radiologist from a 7mm thyroid nodule. No, it’s not a lymphoma or intrathyroidal thymic lesion. Higher power clearly shows plasmacytoid cells consistent with “Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma”. Perhaps, the most cellular MTC that I’ve ever seen on FNA.

Some aspects of sarcoidosis that many pathologists are not aware of. Presented by me at USCAP24. 1- Necrosis of variable extent has been reported in as many as 39% of cases. Foci of necrosis are usually small but may be large in some cases. 2- Granulomatous vasculitis is reported
