I have been sitting on this news for a while now— but I am extremely excited to report that I have signed a contract with University of Nebraska Press under the African Poetry Book Series for my epic poem Bakandamiya. The book is forthcoming in Fall 2025.

Was going to go to the gym->took the wrong bus. Was going to go on a walk->my legs swelled up. Was going to pick up my Adderall->forgot my ID. Was going to draw->my hands swelled up. Now I’m reading. Sometimes you just have to go w/ it.Hope your day leads you to something good♥️

Making progress with on this portrait. Wild how a little time away from a painting gives perspective on what it actually looks like. Much work to be done, but I’m proud of the progress.
